Leslie Haverstock of Santa Cruz finished 9th in her age group in the L.A. marathon on Sunday in a time of 3:21:32. Cari Martin of Aptos came in 3:30:56.
On March 12 Santa Cruz's ultra running prodigy, 20 year old Stephen Wassather, placed 14th overall of the 572 participants in the Way Too Cool 50K clocking 3:59:18. Full results here. Adam Blum also completed the event in 5:15.
Samantha Forde, Santa Cruz, and Jennifer Willoughby, Aptos, finished 1st in the 10K and 2nd in the Half Marathon respectively at the Go Green St. Patricks Day run on March 13 in Los Gatos. Results here.
