FLEDGLING RACE TEAM FROM SANTA CRUZ SHAKES UP TRIATHLON CLUB ESTABLISHMENT AT MORGAN HILL



SANTA CRUZ, CA, MAY 19, 2010: A 13 member team from Santa Cruz Endurance descended on the Morgan Hill Sprint Triathlon at UVAS reservoir Sunday May 16. It was the first race of the USA Productions summer long Tri Club Challenge Series. A 1st place finish in the 25-29 age group by Erik Clarkson (4th overall), 2nd place in the 30-34 age group from Martin Spierings and 2nd in the Athena category for Aimee Escalante were the podium finishes from the team. This was supported by Top Ten age group performances by Heather Rozario, Shoshanah Orzech, Benoit Pelczar, Julian Sunn and Amanda Shuman and Roxanne Peralez. Official results are not yet published but our calculations show Santa Cruz Endurance in 2nd place in the competition behind Forward Motion Racing. Full individual results here. Eric and Aimee top point scoring efforts earned them free entries to the next event, the SVIT on June 13.
