PRs and Podium - Shoreline and abroad.

Another big turnout from the new kids on the block at the Pacific Association cross country race last weekend. The guys team finished 10th and the girls 7th team at the 13th Annual Shoreline Open cross country. Team results here. Which is exactly where the teams stand in the series overall. Revenge on GVH and Pamakids tomorrow at the John Lawson Tamalpa Challenge at the Marin Headlands.

Further afield Adam Blum completed the Javelina 100k ultramarathon, Ryan Hoffman represented and PRed in D.C. at the Army 10 miler and Nick Moless starred in the 3rd annual Central Valley Triathlon coming 2nd overall.
Next week relay teams SCE RealChange and SCE FInish Line Productions will compete in the Morgan Hill Marathon along with a host of other members in the half and full.

PRs and Podiums - A little bit Cross Country, a little bit Rock and Roll

PACIFIC ASSOCIATION CROSS COUNTRY
Open Women XC team captures 3rd place.
The 12th Annual Presidio Challenge Cross Country race was held on Saturday October 2nd. The Santa Cruz Endurance Open Womens team of Mikayla Murphy, Kelley Puglisi, Carina Hendricks, Jenn Betancourt and Leslie Haverstock edged out Golden Valley Harriers by the narrowest of margins to claim 3rd team behind Bay Area running institutions Impalas and Tamalpa. The Open Men team turned the tables on Pamakids and US Coast Guard teams to place 6th. We also fielded our first ever Masters team. Full individual results here and team results here. SAN JOSE ROCK AND ROLL HALF MARATHON (by Jenn Willoughby)
SCE at San Jose Rock and Roll Half Marathon


Santa Cruz Endurance members were once again Rockin’ and Rollin this past
weekend as 7 members participated in the Rock and Roll Half Marathon in San 
Jose. Samantha Forde of Santa Cruz led the SCE pack with a 1:30:30 PR beating 
her goal time and finishing the 3rd in her age group (35-39). Jennifer Willoughby, 
Soquel, placed 5th in her age group (30-34) with a PR time of 1:31:37. Charmin 
Wolles, of Aptos, placed 9th in her age group (40-44) with a PR time of 1:33:15. Also 
claiming PR’s in the October 3rd race were Salinas resident, Roxanne Peralez with 
a 1:38:30, and Craig Mace, of Boulder Creek, coming in at 1:39:17 and beating his 
former PR by nearly five minutes. Santa Cruz residents, Maria Laura Reyes Durazo 
and Leslie Schaeffer-Haverstock, who ran the race for training and moral support, 
rounded out the team with a 1:50:11 and a 1:43:27. Also in attendance, Benoit Pelczar, 
photographer and cheerleader extraordinaire. Full results here.
