Santa Cruz Endurance goes Cross Country

Our male team battle it out at the Presidio.

Santa Cruz Endurance is a registered PA/USATF club. We are competing in the Cross Country Series held in the Bay Area between August and November and test ourselves against the very best Bay Area running clubs. The teams competition is calculated by adding the fastest 5 places on the day in Open Male and Open Female categories. The first race was right here in Santa Cruz and the others are in great locations that will be great fun to car pool to as a team. You must be a member of the PA/USATF to compete and our Club Number is #415. Sign up here.

• 10/23 Shoreline, Mountain View
• 10/30 Marin Headlands
• 11/21 PA Champs** in San Francisco

SCE PA/USATF REFUND INCENTIVE


As always, to support and encourage our best athletes, and provide a goal for others on the team, we are offering to refund the PA/USATF membership fee of $30 if you:

Meet the following qualifying times at any timed race in the last 18 months (our old Level 2):

Women: 5K 21:40, 10K 45:30

Men: 5K 18:00, 10K 38:00

Agree to race at least one of the races on the cross country schedule

Be a signed up 2010/11 member of Santa Cruz Endurance.

If you meet the criteria above sign up for the comped PA/USATF membership, email the confirmation to scendurance(at)gmail.com and we’ll refund you $30 by PayPal.

If you aren’t fast enough now but manage to hit one of the qualify times before the end of the season you can apply for the refund then.   

Wharf to Wharf 2010

A massive 13 SCE members stormed the Top 100 of the Wharf to Wharf yesterday to claim the prestigious Centurion sweatshirts. Many more of our athletes also turned out PRs at the 15,000 participant event and a great day was had by all. A list of the SCE Top 100 placegetters are below and the full results are here

The running team will now focus on the Pacific Association Cross Country events and Morgan Hill Full and Half Marathons in November and anything else they feel like dominating! Our new membership season starts August 1.

Santa Cruz International and Sprint Triathlons - 7/8 AUGUST

Santa Cruz Endurance will be awarding 6 x $40 performance incentives to support and encourage our members help us win the Team Challenge. These are based on your age group placing in either of the two events. In the event of a tie it will be based on overall place.

Conditions for the rebate:
- Be a signed up 2010/11 member
- Register under Santa Cruz Endurance
- Wear the SCE tri gear, uni or tattoos during the race
- Your rebate will be delivered by PayPal or cash once the official results are released

Santa Cruz Endurance pulls top off Firecracker 5k/10k

Many SCE members made it down to the 25th Firecracker 5/10k on July 4th and completely dominated with overall wins in 5k both male and female. It was great to see the wave of blue and white singlets swamp the event. Here are the team results:
